Stories and Testimonies

CCSLD - We are all made of stories

In 2018 and 2019 CCSLD Consulting carried out extensive consulting work for NNPC on Culture Reorientation as the organisation was preparing to change their legal and business status from Government owned to a fully commercialised Africa's largest oil and gas company. The middle managers and staff went through our one-week training and assessments. Below is the feedback from the Executive Director that supervised the work on behalf of NNPC

I am Isokari Francis Ololo, PhD, a former Executive Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (now The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited), a national oil company of Nigeria.

I worked closely with Mr Osoba Otaigbe, the Principal Partner of CCSLD Consulting, on the Nigerian National Petroleum Company’s culture reorientation programme.

His company carried out a comprehensive culture reorientation project at our organization. As the then Manager, Learning, Development and Services, I had the opportunity to closely observe and collaborate with Osoba during the project's duration.

Mr Otaigbe was engaged when our organization grappled with several cultural challenges, including low employee engagement, lack of diversity and inclusion, and inefficient communication channels. From the beginning, Osoba understood our core values and the importance of creating an inclusive, positive, high-performance work environment.

Throughout the project, Osoba took a systematic and data-driven approach to assess and reorient our organizational culture. His company conducted thorough surveys and focus groups to gain insights into employees' perspectives at all levels of the organization. Using these insights, Osoba worked collaboratively with the leadership team to develop and implement a strategic plan that addressed the identified cultural gaps and promoted a shared vision of success.

Osoba possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. As a result, his company forged strong relationships with employees and stakeholders alike, fostering trust and collaboration throughout the organisation. In addition, Osoba consistently displayed a high degree of leadership, professionalism, adaptability, and empathy, making them a valuable asset to any team.

I, therefore, recommend Mr Osoba Otaigbe for any project related to organizational culture transformation or development. I am confident that his company’s expertise, dedication, and strong work ethic will undoubtedly contribute to the success of any organization they work with.

“While attending the annual Pioneer Conference in Manchester in March 2022, I attended a seminar by Osoba O. Otaigbe on cross-cultural intelligence. This proved to be so timely and informative. As we live within increasingly culturally diverse communities we need to be listening and learning and have a much better understanding of each other’s cultures.

This book (Building Cultural Intelligence in Church and Ministry). brings a combination of teaching on culture and theology and is an important tool as we live and worship in our global villages”

We are all made of stories and testimonies.  Storytelling builds context around the work we do. At the heart of it all are the people that we work with at all levels and on all fronts and this is where we share their feedback.

"Osoba Otaigbe is a high-quality individual and a highly competent trainer and shaper. I had the opportunity to be taught and mentored directly by him and I have greatly learned, unlearned and relearned excellently"

"I had the pleasure of working with Osoba Otaigbe when he chaired the Mission Strategy Forum (MSF) at The London Baptist Association. His calm disposition, strategic focus, practicality, and ethical pragmatism, served the forum well.

Osoba was responsible for guiding the forum through a major review of grant awarding protocols including policy and practices.

His wisdom as an experienced leader whose practice was informed by current mission theology, and acute cultural awareness, made it easy for committee members to follow his lead with confidence"

Rev. David Shosanya, Former Regional Minister,

The London Baptist Association

"You may not think differently regarding the value of cultural intelligence until you meet Mr Osoba Otaigbe in a cultural intelligence class, who has proved beyond doubt, the value of cultural intelligence. I was transformed into the bone marrow after my first class with him. I recommend Mr Osoba Otaigbe, Chief Executive of the Center for Cultural Savvy and Leadership Development, for your cultural intelligence training, coaching and mentoringWe look forward to sharing with you…"

"If you are out there looking for new things and new ways to enhance your career or expand your horizon in any field of endeavour, then I recommend you explore Cultural Intelligence and its impact on performance and service delivery in any organization.

I had a week-long exciting and enriching session with Mr. Osoba Otaigbe of CCSLD Consulting. It was a thorough and highly interactive discussion on Culture, Cultural diversities, Cultural Identities, Cultural Intelligence, etc. and I realized it was a time well spent. The drills, case studies, examples, etc. made the audience spellbound, just as one would expect the next scene in a typical ‘Mission Impossible movie. To cap it all, it was an awesome experience - I am glad I had the opportunity to be part of the Cultural Intelligence session.

I recommend Osoba Otaigbe of CCSLD Consulting on anything Culture"
